I help companies in Hamburg with migrations, office moves and changes to existing systems, from the initial inventory through to handover. I can take responsibility for an agreed project or work alongside your internal IT team, vendors and other providers.
When an IT project is due
A move to Microsoft 365, servers at the end of their life, a change of provider, or an in-house IT team that needs reinforcement for a project. In IT projects the technology is often only part of the task. Planning, responsibilities and communication with the people who have to work with the result matter just as much.
Knowing what is involved before work starts
Beforehand you receive an assessment of the work required, the effort and the sequence. We agree dates and any impact on day-to-day operations. Afterwards you get documentation and a hands-on introduction for running things from there.

IT analysis and strategy
Inventory, assessment of risks and opportunities, an IT roadmap with priorities and a budget range.

Design and target architecture
Choosing the technology that suits the requirement and the existing environment, commercial or open source, cloud or on-premises, with the reasons, a sequence and the effort involved.

Migrations
Microsoft 365, servers, virtualisation and telephony, planned, tested and carried out in agreed cut-over and maintenance windows.

Modernisation
Replacing outdated systems, rebuilding network and server environments, consolidating structures that have built up over the years.

Changing provider
I plan the handover of systems, access and open tasks. Any missing documentation is recorded during the initial inventory.

Project management and coordination
Coordination with vendors, providers, electricians and your team, scheduling and communication to your staff.

Telephony and internet connections
Cloud telephony with 3CX or Teams Phone, connection to the phone network via peoplefone for example, number porting, fibre and mobile through Telekom, Vodafone or Telefónica.

Support for in-house IT
I take on agreed project tasks, review planned solutions or support your team on specialist topics.
How I run projects
Before you commission anything, you receive a written assessment including effort. I take on project management, including coordination with electricians, providers and other IT service providers. That applies to office moves as much as to new companies I have equipped from day one.
Where a topic needs specialist knowledge, I bring specialists into the project and remain your point of contact. How a server move in one day works is described in a separate article.
Specialist software and locations
In medical practices, law and tax firms and planning offices I work with specialist software such as Tomedo, DATEV, RA-MICRO, BricsCAD and AutoCAD, and coordinate directly with the vendors.
Most projects are in Hamburg. On-site visits elsewhere are agreed according to the needs of the project.

Yes. I take on agreed project tasks or support your team for an agreed period, while day-to-day support stays where it is. We clarify responsibilities, access and documentation before we start. If you later want to hand over day-to-day operations as well, that is what ongoing IT support is for.
Yes. Among other tools I use Proxmox, Tactical RMM and n8n. When choosing, I weigh up features, ongoing effort, cost and the support options you need.
