IT for a medical practice: email with built-in protection, new practice software and a stable network

Domains, mailboxes and distribution lists had grown over the years at a web host, the practice software was facing a system change, and the network had daily dropouts. In a medical practice every change has to happen while work continues, and patient data sets the boundaries.

First a complete overview of domains, mailboxes and distribution lists. Then the migration of email to a platform with built-in protection against phishing and malware, coordinated with support on both sides. The migration of the practice software to Tomedo was planned and accompanied together with the vendor. The network got a firewall with separate zones and, after a structured fault analysis with vendor support, a cleaned-up, documented configuration.

Email runs protected and on clean domains, the practice software is on the new system, and the network is stable and documented. For all three the practice has one person to call.
