Starting point
A team in several places, with mailboxes and files at different providers. What was wanted: shared storage with clear permissions, all mailboxes in one place, a backup, and a switchboard with a queue that works without hardware and without being tied to a location.
Solution
I agreed the SharePoint structure with the whole team first and only then migrated mailboxes and files, set permissions and put a backup in place. Microsoft Teams took over telephony: numbers, a switchboard with a queue and call policies, so calls to the main number reach the right people wherever they are working. All of it remotely from Hamburg.
Outcome
Files, email and telephony run in one platform. The organisation works independently of location and is as reachable by phone as an office with a reception desk.
